Wofford Travels – 2018-10-01 – Italy-Minori
There is one last location where we stayed in Italy and that was Minori. And, that location was a jumping off point to see other coastal parts of the country. However, I am going to skip over this part of our trip at this time as I have gotten several days behind in my blog.
It is a different experience traveling with a group of people from one in which it is just you and your spouse. First of all, Tom did not schedule this trip (thank you William). Therefore, for us, it could be a lot more relaxing and spontaneous…which it was. And, because it was a lot more relaxing and spontaneous, with all its inherent distractions, I ended up not keeping notes, and that too added to the delay. So, all of the previous material was compiled by recall, lots of photos (I’ll get to that next), and occasionally, “Tom, what did we do right after we went to…..?” Thank heavens…as OUR travel organizer…Tom has pretty good recall where I fall short.
Now, the photos. Where are they? Well, remember, this blog is a work in progress. I just got it finalized (over a week to set is up) literally, a couple days before the trip. I was given a ton of training material to study. Well, THAT was not happening, not now, at least. I wasn’t even sure if I was going to get the blog up and running, until William showed me a couple of steps. (He has worked with Word Press – my blog platform – before.) However, I ran into a problem with the “media” part and my photo library…it wasn’t pulling up my recent photos. And, I didn’t have time on the trip to work on it. So…when I get that all down, there will be many amazing pictures in store for you. I will easily take a couple thousand of them before returning home! Fortunately, a few that others have taken, are showing up on facebook. So consider those as your teasers.
My plan for now is to jump right into Tom’s and my scheduled portion of the trip – Eastern Europe: Budapest, Hungary-4 days / Vienna, Austria-4 days / Prague, Czech Republic-4 days. And…I am taking brief notes, so I can keep up with what we did when. Also, in order to keep the sequence of the trip lined up with the blog, I will “Post” the Minori/Rome (lay over) titles (October 1-5) and fill in the details later. So, pardon the blank pages!
I thank y’all for your patience while I’m going through my blog “learning curve.” I think it will be worth the effort and, hopefully, we will ALL enjoy the fruits of this labor of love!
